Refund and Returns Policy

At California Mobile Smog, all Clean Truck Check (CTC) inspection services are final sale. Due to the nature of compliance testing and the allocation of technician time, equipment, and scheduling resources, we do not offer refunds under any circumstances once a service has been purchased or scheduled.

No Refund Policy

All payments made for CTC testing services are non-refundable, including but not limited to:

• Missed appointments
• Failed inspections
• Customer cancellation or rescheduling requests
• Vehicle ineligibility or inability to complete the test
• Any compliance outcome determined by the test results

*Free Retests Policy

Customers who receive a failed CTC test are eligible for *free retests under the following conditions:

• Free retests are valid for up to 90 days from the date of the initial failed test
• Retests must be completed at our shop location
• Customers may complete unlimited retests within the 90-day period

If the customer prefers a mobile retest, a $50 mobile service fee will apply per visit.

After the 90-day period has expired, a new test must be purchased at the full service price.

Rescheduling

Customers may request to reschedule their appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service time. Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

Requests made within less than 24 hours of the appointment time may result in forfeiture of the service without refund.

Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

• Ensure the vehicle is present and accessible at the scheduled time
• Confirm the vehicle meets eligibility requirements for testing
• Provide accurate and complete information when booking

Failure to meet these requirements may result in the service being marked as completed without refund.

Service Completion

Once a technician is dispatched or the inspection process has begun, the service is considered rendered in full, regardless of the outcome.
