At California Mobile Smog, we specialize in emissions testing for heavy-duty diesel trucks.  Stay compliant with CARB’S Clean Truck Check Test in Las Vegas. Conveniently located in Las Vegas, our mobile service ensures your fleet meets California’s Clean Truck Check requirements without the downtime of traditional smog stations.

What is Clean Truck Check?

The Clean Truck Check, managed by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), requires diesel and alternative fuel vehicles over 14,000 lbs GVWR to complete regular emissions inspections electronically. Applicable to both in-state and out-of-state vehicles operating on California roads, this program helps reduce smog and particulate emissions caused by heavy-duty trucks, buses, and motorhomes.

With over half of road pollution attributed to these vehicles, CARB’s initiative tackles air quality issues while ensuring compliance for vehicles entering California from key locations like Las Vegas.

    Compliance Dates & Deadlines

According to the CARB website, here are some dates and deadlines to consider:

    January 2023

Starting January 2023, Clean Truck Check began roadside emissions monitoring to identify vehicles with potentially high emissions. If a vehicle is flagged, the owner will receive a Notice to Submit to Testing (NST) from CARB and must submit a passing emissions test within 30 days. This test must be conducted by a credentialed tester.

    January 2025

Starting Jan 1st, 2025, all non-exempt vehicles must pass an emissions inspection twice per year. Inspections can be submitted up to 90 days prior to the vehicle’s compliance deadline.

Example: A vehicle with a February 1st, 2025 compliance deadline may submit a passing emissions test as early as November 3rd, 2024.

    January 2027

Starting on January 1st, 2027, fleets will be required to test four times a year.
